Penelope: A Rescue Story- A Short Documentary

Video

It has been quite a year.  I launched this blog about compassion towards animals exactly one year ago, today.  Little did I know what the next year would have in store for me and how much my life would change.

A HUGE thank you to Duncan Skiles for taking an interest in our story and creating this documentary.

This is being released just days before a judge will rule on the Kaporos court case and a couple of weeks before Kaporos is scheduled to take place again.

If you like what you see, please share to help raise awareness and spread Penelope’s message.

Thank you!!!!

Compassionate Products: DIY Homemade Deodorant Video

Compassionate vegan choices extend beyond the foods that we eat.  They also include the products that we use and the way that we treat our bodies.

Most store bought deodorant contains toxins such as aluminum, parabans and phthalates.  These toxins get placed right onto the pours of our armpits and get absorbed into our bodies.  If it is an antiperspirant it then blocks the bodies natural ability to sweat and cleanse those chemicals creating a toxic buildup in the body. Most deodorant  also comes from facilities that test on animals.

I personally have tried several natural, store- bought deodorants, only to have them fail on me mid- day.  I found myself frustrated by this and decided to start making my own.

It’s very easy to make and contains all natural ingredients.  And most importantly, it works!

Check out my video below…

Ingredients

1/4 cup organic cornstarch
1/4 cup baking soda
4 tablespoons of coconut oil
20-30 drops of tea tree oil
optional: 10 drops lavender oil and 10 drops of coriander oil
